The delegation, Vice President Nguyễn, Tất Thắng of Dalat University, Vietnam, visited NDHU from April 17 to 19, 2023. The delegation members include the Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department, Dean of Sociology and Social Work Department, Deputy Director of Center for National Defense and Security Education, Vice Head of Department of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, and Head of Literature and History Faculty. Vice President Ma of NDHU hosted the delegation at the Office of International Affairs meeting room and had a meeting to exchange opinions on the MOU conduct between the universities. Then, a campus tour showed the school's history and beautiful environment to the delegation guided by the Secretariat of NDHU.

And in the evening, the Ph.D. Program in Asia Pacific Regional Studies hosted a welcome party for the delegation. The Ph.D. students introduced themselves and learned more about the exchange program between Dalat University and NDHU.

On the second day, the delegation attended a partnership symposium hosted by the Ph.D. Program in Asia Pacific Regional Studies and Department of Sociology. In the symposium, Vice President Nguyễn of Dalat University said they were pleased to be here to explore the opportunities to enhance cooperation with NDHU. Dr. Vũ Thị Thùy Dung, the Dean of Sociology and Social Work Department, gave a briefing at Dalat University, and Dr. Nguyễn Cảnh Chương introduced the business of the International Cooperation Department of Dalat University. |

The professors of NDHU introduced the background of the faculties and the resources to support the international exchange program in the college. The Ph.D. students also attended the meeting, and they are very interested in having the chance to study across social and cultural conditions in different nations. Therefore, the Dalat University delegation claimed they are planning an international conference in 2024. They invited the professors and students of NDHU to join the plan together and attend the conference next year.

Similarly to NDHU is in Hualien, Dalat University also locates in a popular tourist area. After the meeting, the delegation went to Liyu Lake and Taroko National Park to look at how the government operates the public scenic areas. The scenery and infrastructure of these places impress them, and they would like to have the opportunity to visit again in the future.
