Introduction
The Ph.D. program in Asia-Pacific Regional Studies was initiated in 2019, involving Ph.D. students and professors from all over the world to create a comprehensive and integrative research institute in Eastern Taiwan. In 2024, the program plans to host the “International Conference on Cross-Disciplinary Research”. This conference aims to provide opportunities to foster in-depth research development in the humanities and social sciences related to the Asia-Pacific region. Drawing from diverse academic backgrounds in social sciences, researchers will dig into various emerging issues such as economic development, environmental situations, migrant labors, and social as well as cultural changes among countries in the region. Moreover, the conference seeks to facilitate cross-national and cross-cultural comparative analyses and promote cross-disciplinary exchanges among countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
